When I was young, I spent a lot of time at the Bridgehampton raceway on Long Island, watching the USRRC and CanAm races. I still have those photos, taken by a 16-year-old on a Kodak Instamatic camera. No fancy lenses, no really good film. But some of the photos are fairly decent.
I’ve scanned the 3x3 original prints, cropped them, and printed them on 8x10 gloss paper on an HP PhotoSmart printer. Given the source (and that they’re not from negatives), you won’t be seeing any spectacular photography here, but the end results are pretty good.
These photos will be reorganized by race sometime soon. As of Aug 3, 2008, I’ve added three races and some new photos.
I’m offering them for $6 each plus shipping, if you’re interested.
